The Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on the Astrological Sign
The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm within the community. Starting with the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the title's launch, to trainers developing strong opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one idea naturally: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is based on a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of either and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Much like a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its standard and Super Form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their side unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries note their fondness for sweet sap and how it uses its horn to hoard it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. It's impossible to convince me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, providing an constant stream of gossip to those who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly simple to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to foresee an opponent's future actions, which seems quite similar to a socially-savvy Gemini.
The Crab – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for frequently getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the official info, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also recognized for its capability to create a thundercloud over its very self – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Oh, did you think I was planning to select Pyroar for the king of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your preference). Players were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the identical energy a Lion offers to the table. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a show, even if for aliens.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly critical is clearly reflected across this Pokémon’s entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of creating a plan.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this sweet, empathetic being, who employs the feelers on its ears to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – sometimes to a fault – and striving to maintain the peace, there are numerous Scales who would probably benefit from Super Audino's skills. However, to be frank, it would likely just make them stress even more about others.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic origin: Abandoned as a doll, it gained sentient through pure resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius personally, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “poses to display its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can think of.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often consistently think they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very first Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Detached air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-fire sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame category matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting aura is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's description says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
