Three Athletes In Contention for Young Sports Personality Prize

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The trio have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The three contenders were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The show will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.
Agyemang's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Football
A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Later in the year, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
